The Indian Ceramic Industry is growing at leaps and bounds with a 12% growth in general and 30% growth in vitrified tiles segment in last 3 years. Today it has grown to 270 million sq. metres including 40 million of vitrified tiles at a valuation of Rs 5,500 crores. From regular ceramic tiles to high range vitrified stuff, the tile market has never looked better.
Today, vitrified tiles are replacing natural products like marbles, granites, kota stones etc. as they have far more visual appeal and the polished finish which lasts longer. Also unlike marble which turns yellowish with passage of time, vitrified tiles exhibits nil discoloration.
With dynamism & experience, we display acumen, exuberance and professionalism. The in-depth knowledge and far sighted business policies has strategically positioned us as India’s leading manufacturer of vitrified tiles. Driven by innovation and passion to excel, we provide the most exotic and aesthetic range of vitrified tiles in sprawling designs and our brand has become formidable choice of architects, interior designers, construction companies and customers due to the distinctive product range which comes with irreplaceable quality of international repute. We are the first in India to have the technology to manufacture 605 x 605 mm tiles to their full dimensions, instead of the usual 600 x 600 mm.
The modernization plays a pivotal role. We are one of the largest producers of vitrified tiles in India with a production capacity of 11,000 Sq. Metres of tiles per day. With undeviating commitment to quality, we have created an enviable position in the industry and has been regular supplier to some of the most prestigious projects. We aim to fully explore international avenues and emerging markets around the world.
Our Company is first amongst the three tiles manufacturers in the region, who have been supplied gas by pipe line from the Government of Gujarat. As a result the cost of production will reduce by at least 10% as gas is one of the major component in the cost of production. This will definitely increase the profitability and competitiveness as compared to other manufacturers.
As of today, India is the 6th largest producer in the world with China being no 1. Per capita consumption of India is 0.15 sq mtrs whereas in China it is 1.3 sq mtrs. With new product ranges coming from within India, after 5 years we can expect Indian consumption to go up by 3 times and hence taking India further.
We further plan to make an investment Rs.100 crore for setting up a new production facility to commence operations by July 2007. As a result of company’s larger plans to provide customers with a one-stop solution for their ceramic products requirements, the new plant would diversify the product lines to sanitaryware and wall tiles.
To fund the expansion plans, the Company proposed to come out with an Initial Public Offering (IPO) in the few month.
The expansion would eventually increase the production capacity of the Company to 27000 sq. meters per day (17000 sq. meters for vitrified tiles and 10000 sq. meters for wall tiles) and 2000 pcs. per day of sanitaryware products. This expansion would make us the largest manufacturers of vitrified tiles in India. The company is currently experiencing immense growth and expects its current turnover of Rs. 112 crore in 2005-06 to increase to Rs. 180 crore by the end of next financial year. With sanitaryware and wall tiles coming into play, we predict our company’s turnover to cross Rs. 500 crore by the end of 2009. |
